THE children at Little Fishes Nursery School in Rowledge have been busy filling shoeboxes with Christmas gifts to send to children around the world as part of Operation Christmas Child.

They joined forces with the parishioners of St James Chuch in Rowledge for a record-breaking year, amassing 73 boxes in total.

Run by Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project and they have been sending gift-filled shoeboxes around the world since 1990, bringing joy into the lives of over 80 million underprivileged children.

The shoeboxes full of gifts and goodies, are sent to disadvantaged children across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Little Fishes Nursery was established in 1996 by St James Church to serve the local community of Rowledge and Frensham, although it now caters for children from all over the Farnham area.
