ST John’s C of E Infant School’s PTA have been busy putting together a much anticipated recipe book, full of student’s favourite meals and how to make them, along with illustrations by the children themselves.

The book, aptly named ‘Spill the Beans!’, was created as a way for the school to share mealtime ideas, promote healthy eating and encourage children to take an active interest in cooking.

‘Spill the Beans!’ went on sale to the public at Churt Village Fete on Saturday, with all proceeds going towards new equipment at the school including interactive whiteboards for the classrooms.

The PTA would like to thank all the local business owners who have helped fund the production of the book with their relevant advertisements.

Headteacher Gillian Morris said: “Once again, our fabulous PTA have rallied round and organised another wonderful fundraiser. We are also very grateful to all our sponsors, all of whom are local businesses, and to those who have donated their time and professional services to produce the book.

“Finally, of course, my thanks to all the children who helped to make ‘Spill the Beans’ such a wonderful fundraiser.”

Other upcoming events include Frensham Fayre on June 16, Wrecclesham Village Fete on June 24, Farnham Carnival on June 30, Hale Carnival on July 7 and the Bourne Show on July 21.
