Children at St Peter’s School celebrated the end of term with a whole school Easter Service.
The service was led by the pupils through readings, drama and reflection.
The Farnham school was joined for the first time by Reverend Jacqueline Drake-Smith, who is the new vicar at St Peter’s Church.
It is also a tradition at the school for children to decorate the cross with flowers.
The flowers are used to symbolise the hope and happiness of the Easter Story.
Sarah Marshall, the school’s deputy head, said: “We are not normally in school during Holy Week so it was a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on the journey to Calvary.
“Children dramatised the journey and empathised with the key characters who were with Jesus in those last hours.
“It was a peaceful way to end the term and reminded us all of the true meaning of Easter.”
Before breaking up for the Easter holidays, children also enjoyed celebrating two weeks of Fairtrade learning.
They learnt about the origins of products such as chocolate, honey and cotton.
St Peter’s students were asking lots of questions and learnt a number of facts, as well as showing great persuasion towards making Farnham town a Fairtrade Community.
