NETBALL teams from across the Farnham area travelled to South Farnham School to take part in a netball tournament.

Year 5 pupils from Highfield, Holly Lodge, Rowledge, Potter’s Gate, South Farnham, St Peter’s, St Polycarp’s and Waverley Abbey schools went head to head on March 5. Each team played all of the other teams on a round-robin basis.

The team from St Polycarp’s were crowned the winners, followed by Waverley Abbey in second place and South Farnham claiming third position.

Esther Whitbourn, assistant headteacher at South Farnham School who also organises netball for the confederation, said: “A special thanks to the Weydon students for umpiring the matches.”
