HOME visiting volunteers from Surrey-based charity Home-Start in Waverley were joined by chairman Alan Thompson for an early Christmas lunch at The Georgian House Hotel in Haslemere, at the beginning of this month.

The charity was celebrating another year of supporting struggling young families in the borough. It now has 58 volunteers but is looking to recruit a further 40 during 2016.

The next preparatory course, which runs for nine weeks on a Tuesday, in Godalming, is due to start in April, and new volunteers are being sought to fill the places available as soon as possible.
