THE Dene Steam and Vintage Rally will celebrate its fifth year this weekend with an even bigger display on its site on Charlwood Lane in Monkwood, near Ropley.
This year’s two-day event will offer around 300 exhibits at Starter Gate Farm, from traction engines, vintage motorcycles and tractors to stationary engines and military vehicles, alongside a wide range of stands.
Open from 10am-4pm tomorrow and Sunday, this year’s event will support the Raise St Peter’s appeal and the Mid Hants Railway’s Watercress Line.
Located just off the A32, a free bus service will connect the rally site, which has its own car park, to the Mid Hants Watercress Line at Four Marks and Medstead station.
This year, the rally falls on the same weekend as Armed Forces Day, so all military personnel showing valid ID get £1 off their entry.
Normal entry is £5 for adults, £3 children aged two to 16, and £15 for families £15 (two adults and up to three children).
