A new aroma is wafting through Brightwells Yard: the scent of freshly brewed coffee and sustainable spirit.

Stefan Trevor, the man behind True Grounds Coffee, has been serving up organic coffee from his new pitch on the Farnham development for just over a week, writes Zahra Choudhury.

His stand is open daily from 9am to 5 pm, ready to welcome residents and visitors alike.

Trevor's commitment to sustainability is evident in every detail. He powers his coffee machine with a battery and gas, forgoing the need for electricity.

His coffee is a special organic blend called Calli, sourced from local Farnham brewery Kota Coffee. To top it off, every cup is compostable, ensuring that his love for coffee does not come at the expense of the environment.

Mr Trevor chose this specific spot for his first business venture because he believes it’s a lovely location with no other coffee shops nearby and plenty of houses to entice customers.

And they’ve definitely woke up and smelt the coffee, as the local community has responded with open arms.

Trevor has even been invited into a local WhatsApp group and has received an outpouring of positive feedback.

“I’ve been a little overwhelmed, but in the best way possible,” said Mr Trevor about the interest shown his street coffee business.

On a good day, he serves anywhere from 40 to 60 customers. He described the local atmosphere as "super friendly" and encourages anyone considering a similar venture to take the leap, offering a simple but powerful piece of advice, saying: “Do what you love doing, make the most of it

Trevor's contract at Brightwells runs until February, so be sure to stop by and experience the friendly, and sustainable spirit of True grounds coffee.
