FARNHAM was buffeted by winds of up to 80mph on Monday, as storm St Jude blew across the area bringing down trees, power lines, affecting the local transport network and damaging buildings.
Nearby RAF Odiham recorded a maximum gust of 78mph, the fifth highest recorded nationwide, as well as 35mm of rain in the early hours of Monday, leading to flood warnings for the River Wey valley.
