THE lovable Grandma Goldilocks, aka Gilly Stewart. from Farnham library, will be telling stories and running a craft and dance session this Saturday (February 4), from 10.30am.

The event is entirely free and all children are welcome. Similar events will be held on the first Saturday of each month and every time Gilly will have a different role, including Sir Topham Hat of Thomas the Tank Engine fame, Titania queen of the fairies, Chief Sitting Bull and the Egyptian Queen Kiye.

On Saturday, Grandma Goldilocks will be telling the tale of Scruffity Bear, there will be teddy bear craft, and dancing to the Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

Farnham library has a large selection of children’s books to borrow, and Grandma Goldilocks would like to remind children that if they cannot find their favourite book on the shelves, it can be borrowed from another library – just ask to reserve it at the reception desk.

There is also a very large selection of pre-owned children’s books for sale at the entrance of the library on the left hand side.

These are very low priced to suit pocket money, and range from toddler age to late teenage. To date Farnham library have raised more than £3,000, all of which goes directly to Surrey Libraries.
