There’s a new jazz club in Petersfield – and the opening night of Strange Fruit last month went down a storm with tickets for November and December selling out in a week.
The founder, local sax player Colin Clark said: “It has been a dream of mine for many years to run a jazz club and I wanted to recreate the sophisticated and intimate environment of the clubs from the movies in bygone days.
“Gallery No 30 in the High Street has provided the ideal setting for the club, and so my dream has finally been recognised.
“Strange Fruit is an exclusive club, held on the third Friday of every month, bringing the best jazz from experienced, established artists from around the country.”
