MILL Chase Academy students raised £250 for charity at a benchball competition.

Yellow House organised the benchball competition to raise money for its chosen charity, Havant and East Hampshire Mind, which works to promote good mental health within the school and wider locality.

The December 8 event was a team effort, with tasks including organising, advertising and baking for the cake sale.

The tournament was well attended and saw all year groups and all houses getting involved.

The atmosphere was said to be “electric”.

Each of Mill Chase Academy’s four houses supports a charity of its choice.

Each house is led by an academic leader who oversees the performance and personal welfare of their students. Yellow House’s leader is Katya Lissonni.
