STUDENTS from Farnham Heath End School raised more than £250 for Cancer Research after taking part in their own Race for Life.
More than 200 pupils from years seven to 10 were invited to come along and take part in the charity fundraiser by donating as little as £1.
They were given the choice of running five kilometres or however far they wished within a 30-minute time scale, while donning either their PE kit or their own clothing.
In the build up to the race, head of year Andy Ready hosted numerous school assemblies to increase students knowledge on cancer and why the race is so important. He highlighted that events like this are all about taking part and getting involved, and learning as much as possible about cancer.
