Kids have no excuse for boredom this summer as Farnham Town Council is handing out nearly £20,000 to support school holiday activities.

Community grants worth a total £19,875 will be handed to around a dozen groups and organisations who are providing activities during the summer holidays.

The West Street Potters, The Maltings, Hale Community & Youth Centre, 40 Degrees, the Rural Life Living Museum, Hive Helpers, Chantrys Community Association are just some of the recipients.

Councillors also agreed to award a £750 grant to the Farnham Andernach Friendship Association.

The town will welcome around 100 visitors from Germany in June to mark 35 years since the original deed of friendship was signed, with a celebratory concert at the Maltings among the events planned.
