THE tiny village of Newton Valence was blessed with glorious sunshine on Sunday, encouraging crowds of visitors to admire 10 very different gardens, open for the afternoon in aid of church funds.

In addition to the gardens, plant, gift and home-made produce stalls were set up by the village pond and lavish teas were available in the village hall.
