HOLLYCOMBE Primary School held its annual sports day under clear blue skies and in warm sunshine.

During the morning children took part in their house teams competing in a series of activities including hockey, football dribbling, speed jumping and skipping, earning points.

Parents joined in for a picnic on the field and the afternoon comprised of races, hurdles, standing jump and throw, before the relay and long distance races as well as a tug of war completed the day.

The winning house was Wey, who were cheered on by parents, family and friends.

Headteacher Tamsin Austoni said, before the school broke up for the holidays, the children had displayed excellent sportsmanship and thanked her staff for organising the day.
