SUPPORT for the Bordon and Whitehill war memorial project has been given by the district council - but no cash will be forthcoming until the war memorial association has raised more money.

Members of the north east area community committee heard that the district council was not allowed to pay for war memorials to be built and said that the association will have to boost its funds before any grant could be given.
