"CONSIDERABLE confusion" still surrounds Surrey County Council's new charging policy for adult users of care services which came into force at the beginning of the month, disabled resident Peter Stock claimed this week.
Mr Stock said the charges were "way over the top" and that there had been "very little information" for users about the claims they could make to reduce their charges.
A SCC spokesman said only those who could afford it were being asked to contribute towards their care and that an appeal procedure was in place for those who felt their charges were too high.
