THE proposed route for a new railway linking Liverpool to Lille in France has been attacked by Surrey County Council, concerned for the welfare of the county's residents.
Although plans are still at the design stage, the Central Railway will skirt London to the West, either running parallel to the M25 or taking a more direct route by following existing tracks.
