SURREY Police and Crime Panel has confirmed Nick Ephgrave as new Chief Constable.
Mr Ephgrave was appointed acting Chief Constable in December 2015, after joining the force in July 2013 as deputy chief constable. Prior to that, he was a commander in the Metropolitan Police.
He was awarded the Queens Police Medal in the Birthday Honours, in June.
“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to serve as chief constable – it is a tremendous privilege and honour,” he said. “I look forward to working with the police and crime commissioner to deliver his police and crime plan, continuing the work I’ve been doing over the last six months, and appointing a substantive chief officer team to lead Surrey Police.”
