A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink/drug-driving following an accident in North Farnham that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a car and pedestrian at the Alma Lane junction on the A325 Farnborough Road in Heath End around 6.20pm last night (Thursday, January 8).
The junction was closed for around six hours while the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police this morning confirmed that a 22-year-old man was arrested on of causing serious injury by driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
He was also arrested on suspicion of causing injury by careless driving, and for driving a vehicle without insurance before later being released on police bail.
“Were you in the area between 6.15pm and 6.30pm? We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact us,” said a spokesperson for Surrey Police.
“We are also seeking CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of it.
