WAVERLEY'S young swimmers did themselves proud in the P&G Surrey Youth Games at the world-class Surrey Sports Park, with the mixed team (pictured) taking the bronze medal.

Altogether 244 teams from 11 districts and boroughs took part in 15 sports and spectators were blown away by the brilliant attitude and skill of all the competitors.

Waverley competitors carried off medals in five other categories, with gold for the girls' basketball team, silver for boys' basketball and junior boys' judo and bronze for both junior and senior girls' judo.
