A WEST Tisted farmer is taking precautions this week following news of an outbreak of swine fever in East Anglia which, if it spreads, could devastate the pig industry.
The estate, just outside Alton, is maintaining a rigid check on all those entering and leaving the premises who have to drive or walk over disinfected straw. Wheels of vehicles are also washed and disinfected.
