SOUTH West Trains has completely revised its website, http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk">www.southwesttrains.co.uk, which has taken on a brand new image and is now easier to use. With more and more people turning to the internet for speedy up-to-the-minute information and with the South West Trains' website already attracting around 12,900,000 hits and 105,000 visitors a year, the aim is to offer a website which is useful, reliable, robust and quick and easy to use SWT evaluated its old website and an online survey was carried out to find out what passengers liked and didn't like and what they would like to see on the new website. Feedback was received from more than 1,700 people. Peter Owen, South West Trains' head of marketing, said: "This has been a huge project and has taken some time as we really wanted to offer the best website possible to anyone visiting. The fast paced world we live in makes it important that we offer a straightforward website giving people the information they need at their fingertips such as train running information, buying tickets and looking at places to visit across our network. "Please visit the site and let us know what you think by completing one of our feedback forms. This is a website which has been redesigned and created for you so it is important that you share your views." There is a whole host of new features and information including more ways to get in touch with South West Trains via online bookings and enquiries.
