Richard Selly, the emeretus professor of Geology at London University’s Imperial College, will give a talk about how the Devil’s Punch Bowl was formed, at Haslemere Museum, later this month.

The talk on behalf of the Blackdown and Hindhead Supporters of the National Trust is called ‘Deposition, Deformation and Erosion of the Weald,’ and takes place on Friday, March 18, at 7.30pm.

It is open to members and non-members free of charge.

Professor Selly has applied his expertise and humour to subjects as diverse as exploration in Africa to viticulture in Dorking.
