PUTTING the blame of a jaw-dropping 15 per cent Petersfield council tax hike on the formation of a new Sheet Parish Council has been labelled as "disappointing" by the chairman of Sheet Village Association.

Much of the blame for the huge tax rise, the second within weeks for Petersfield, has been blamed on the costs of forming the controversial breakaway Sheet Parish Council, which was agreed by East Hampshire District Council at the end of last year.
