A HASLEMERE businessman has started an online petition to No 10 Downing Street aimed at tax relief for companies to help them during the economic downturn.

Christopher Ashton-Jones who, with his wife Carmen, runs Sheen Botanical Labels in the town, is calling on the Prime Minister to reintroduce the zero-rate tax band for the first £10,000 of company profit in order to help, in particular, smaller companies, at the present time.
