SCHOOLS in Haslemere and the surrounding area could "be entering into a crisis" over staff shortages, a local headteacher has warned this week.

Although most of the schools in the area so far have escaped the major effects of teacher shortages, headteachers in the district have warned that there are problems in recruiting good quality teachers because of high housing costs and other related difficulties.
