FOLLY Hill School pupils and staff have said a tearful farewell to Chris Green, who has been part of the community for more than 20 years and the schools headteacher for 10 years.

Mrs Green is retiring to "start a new chapter" of her life and is ready to "take on many new adventures" which life throws at her.

This month Folly Hill welcomes Mrs Ali Stone to the post of headteacher.

Mrs Charlie Farr, from Folly Hill Infant school said: “She has been absolutely amazing. She is a star and she always put the children first, as well as looking after the staff.

“We wish her all the best in what she does and will miss her a lot. The whole school community are tremendously sad to lose her but wish her all the best in her new adventures.”
