HASLEMERE Tennis Club is holding a new members open evening this week for people to find out more about the club.
Prospective players are invited to drop in and enjoy a friendly game of tennis followed by some light refreshments on Tuesday, June 21, at 6pm. The club, which currently has 450 members is for all ages and or abilities and can provide coaching, club or squad sessions to suit.
The Haslemere Recreation Ground-based group boast a newly built clubhouse which looks out onto four well-maintained floodlit courts. There is a training wall, mini-court and a further three courts which are available for larger tournaments.
Haslemere Tennis Club is now LTA Tennis Mark plus accredited, hosting an extensive programme of coaching, tournaments and social events.
In the LTA’s Quorn Family Cup, the club’s junior team is through to the national finals.
Mens’ team captain Gary Stoner said: “So whether you are interested in playing competitively for one of the club teams in the East Hampshire league, or simply turning up to play in one of our relaxed club sessions or social events, you will receive a warm welcome. Our committee members will be delighted to accompany you to one of our regular club or coaching sessions and introduce you to other members.”
