TWO men tried to drag a young woman out of her car at around 10.30pm on Tuesday at the junction of Montecchio Way with the main A31.

The woman was driving out of Alton and had stopped at the Holybourne roundabout to allow another vehicle to pass before pulling out onto the A31.

She told the Herald that as she stopped the men "jumped" toward her old Land Rover Discovery.

One man opened the driver's door and tried to pull her out, while a second tried to get into the passenger side, but could not because of the sacks of pig food on the seat. Terrified, she put her foot down and drove off.
