Hale shoppers have been checking out their new-look Tesco Express as the store has reopened in time for Christmas and the New Year.

The store on Upper Hale Road reopened last Thursday, December 4, following a six-week refurbishment in which it was completely gutted.

It is a store relied on by many Upper Hale residents one of whom commented: “It’s been a long six weeks”.

A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our Farnham Hale Express has reopened following works to improve the shopping experience for customers.

“Improvements include a new store layout, new signage and the installation of more energy efficient fridges and freezers. We apologise for the inconvenience caused while the works took place.”

The store is open daily from 7am to 11pm.
