FARNHAM Maltings’ ever popular ‘thread… a festival of textiles’ will return for a fourth year this Saturday, once again exploring a diverse range of disciplines and aspects of textiles and making between 9am and 6pm.

A series of talks, exhibitions and demonstrations from professionals and participatory ‘have a go’ sessions will complement the curated marketplace, where visitors will be able to browse fabrics and haberdashery to purchase for textile projects or buy directly from artists and makers demonstrating their own unique handcrafted work.

Also running throughout the day is a programme of workshops for a range of abilities, from beginners to sewing and textiles to those looking to hone a particular skill. Here people can learn from the experts, be inspired to try new techniques.
