AFTER weeks of rehearsals the children at All Saints Infant’s School, got into the festive spirit in their Christmas nativity, ‘The Best Gift of All’, which told the traditional tale through the eyes of the innkeeper’s children.

All years rose to the challenge with the main roles taken on by the year two pupils, alongside their favourite pooch Monty, who portrayed the role of the donkey.

Retriever Monty, who is a Pets As Therapy dog, is a very iconic figure at the Tilford Road school, and joins the children once a week to read with them – they love him and couldn’t see this year’s Christmas in without giving him a nativity role.

Alongside the performance the children also participated in Christingle, a celebratory event which takes place every year in the run up to Christmas.
