The latest episode in the Star Wars saga will be shown at 8.30pm on July 9 at the Parade Ground, Prince Philip Barracks.
Attendees can drive in, cycle in or walk in to the Parade Ground.
There will be parking and seating areas for those who choose to walk or cycle.
Refreshments and food will be provided by Swiss Miss Sweets and Cakes, and there will be prizes for the best Star Wars fancy dress.
Naomi Metcalfe, community development officer at the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company, said: “We are delighted to be able to put this open-air cinema with The Phoenix.
“It is the first such event for the area and we look forward to seeing the local community turn out in their Star Wars fancy dress for what is sure to be an enjoyable summer’s evening.”
Rob Allerston, director of The Phoenix Theatre, added: “I’ve been a fan of Stars Wars for over 35 years. I can remember queueing at the long-since-demolished Embassy Cinema in Fareham to see Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher battle with the evil Darth Vader to destroy the Empire’s Death Star. Fast forward to 2016 and I can’t wait to see the latest episode outdoors at the former Prince Philip Barracks (Budds Lane).”
Tickets, priced £6.50 in advance or £8.50 on the night, are available from The Phoenix box office on 01420 472664 or by visiting phoenixarts.co.uk.
