ORGANISED thieves rifled a safe containing thousands of pounds at WH Smith in The Borough on Sunday night, after disabling the store's alarm system and entering through a door on the roof.

They covered windows with cardboard and drew the blinds before using power tools to break into the safe in the cash office.
