FARNHAM District Scouts, which comprises 10 clubs in and around Farnham, enjoyed a jam-packed weekend full of fun and games to celebrate 30 years of Beaver Scouting in the UK.
Club members created beavers out of pinecones and made friendship bracelets, which were passed on to the individual’s person of choice. They were also treated to orienteering, archery and a campfire.
Assistant district commissioner for Beaver Scouts Janet Fraser said: “The weekend was organised by the clubs’ leaders who did a terrific job, and we had a big 30th birthday cake baked by former leader Janet Watts.
“Everyone had great fun, there was 116 beavers and 77 who camped over night. They had a rather quiet night as they were very tired from the day’s activities.”
