MORE than 2,000 people made their way to Country Market to celebrate bonfire night in Bordon.

And there was plenty to keep the funseekers entertained last Wednesday (November 6), with a funfair featuring lots of different rides, food and drink stalls, a fire dancer, stilt walker and two firework displays – an earlier, child-friendly display followed by a full display.

Curtis Bone, chairman of the Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership, which organised the event, said: “After feedback we have decided to increase the budget for the child-friendly display and main display.

“Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership would like to thank all the volunteers, and especially the Woolmer Lions, who help us every year.

“This event had 46 people on duty with most volunteering their time to support the town.”
