Candidates have been announced for the East Hampshire District Council by-election to be held in Liss on September 15. The by-election is being held to fill the seat left vacant by the death of David Onslow. The candidates are: Howard Jeremy Linsley (Labour) of 1 Bishearne Gardens, Liss; Gina Kember Logan (Conservative) of 44 Sherwood Close, Liss Forest; and Roger Arthur Mullenger (Liberal Democrats) of Woodbine Cottage, Hawkley Road, Liss. Polling will take place between 8 am and 9 pm at Liss Village Hall in Hillbrow Road. Polling cards were sent out by post on August 24. Electors can also opt to vote by post instead of visiting their polling station. Applications for postal votes must be received before 5 pm on Wednesday, September 7.
