A ROWLEDGE man who beat a close friend to death on the day he discovered he had been sleeping with his fiancee was jailed for three years at the Old Bailey on Monday.

Stephen Rudge (38) flew into a rage and knocked Farnham postman Alistair Peek (36) unconscious with a series of heavy punches after learning about the betrayal four days before Christmas 1998.
