IT had to be the highlight of their half-term break – a children’s Hallowe’en disco organised by Alton Community Centre at the Assembly Rooms last Friday afternoon and the chance to dress up as a spooky character.

Thousands of ultra low emission vehicles registered in Waverley – as campaigners group call for more equal access across UKAs well as a disco in the main hall, in an adjoining room there was a fun photo booth, craft making and colouring for the young dancers who, according to an event spokesman “came in a wonderful variety of costumes, including witches and vampires”.
“Some adults dressed up too and we had one family who all came as Ghostbusters,” the spokesman added.
Hot dogs, candyfloss and fruit juice proved just as popular as the spooky disco.
“It’s the second time we have held a hallowe’en disco during the autumn half-term and because it was so popular we are holding another one on October 26 next year. This one raised £700 for our funds.”
