A GROUP of heartless young burglars broke into the homes of elderly residents in the Alton and Herriard area last Friday, causing extreme distress and on two occasions making off with cash.
Alton police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incidents, to come forward. The burglaries are thought to have been carried out by up to five men, all in their early 20's. Contact Alton CID on 01420.82244
