BORDON Phoenix Theatre's first beer festival has been hailed a success.

and it was a roaring success.
"Tickets sold out and everyone was having fun and
seemed really well behaved.
"There was a wide range of local real beers on offer,
as well as a few from other areas, such as Devon Dumpling.
The food was great and the evening's musical
entertainment provided by Mark Hoare's band Big Red
Ass had people dancing in the aisles."
And he added: "I am looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year."
Andy Tree, town council leader, was at the festival
and said: "I think that Rob Allerston is a true
champion of the town to host a community event that
was enjoyed by so many. I hope he and his colleagues
feel proud of how it went."
