PLEDGES of cash support towards the campaign to buy Bishops Meadows and preserve the land from the clutches of developers have been rolling in.

But time is of the essence. With a bid from a speculator believed to have been placed with the selling agents, Savills, the town may only have one or two weeks to declare its hand.
