SINCE 2007 the Lions Club of Farnham has raised more than £60,000 to support the Kent Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance via its annual ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ appeal and is looking forward to raising more funds for this cause this year.

This year’s appeal, launched at Frensham Garden Centre, was attended by the Mayor of Farnham, John Ward, Mayoress Gillian Ward, Brian Phillips, manager of Frensham Garden Centre, Richie Elmer, director of Weyfest which sponsors the event by providing funds and prize tickets, and by members of Farnham Lions.

Mark Barry, the chairman of the Farnham Lions ‘Eggstravaganza’ committee would like to express his gratitude to all of the organisations who will each be displaying a high quality Easter egg as well as a fluffy lion, in the hope that staff and customers will donate a £1 to have a chance of winning both the egg and lion at each location.

It is hoped that each location will raise £100, every penny of which will be donated to the Kent Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance.
