THE Rural Life Centre is getting ready to unwrap its annual Santa Special weekends.

One of the most popular events in the Tilford-based museum’s busy calendar, the four days of festive excitement are a big attraction to the Christmas cognoscenti, young and old

Santa Specials take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, and Saturday and Sunday, December th and 18. Booking is essential.

Visitors get a chance to ride on the Old Kiln Light Railway’s train, lend a helping hand in the gnomes’ workshop and see a selection of animals, before entering the magical world of Santa’s grotto, where youngsters will receive a present from the man with the timeless gift of making dreams come true.

Santa Specials bring a lot of happiness to many people, not least the tireless group of volunteers whose efforts ensure this end of year favourite retains its warmth, welcome and popularity.

Seasonal refreshments will be available, and there will be plenty of other attractions to enjoy, including a toy workshop and a model railway display.
