IT’S never too early to stock up for the festive season, and this year the Cards for Good Causes shop at Haslemere Museum was opened by town mayor Sahran Abeysundara last weekend.

Local volunteers staff the Haslemere pop-up shop, which is part of the Cards for Good Causes’ national network.

Cards for Good Causes supports a wide range of national and local charities, including GUTS, The Fountain Centre, Phyllis Tuckwell, Make a Wish Foundation, Shooting Star Chase and Canine Partners. New arrivals include Help for Heroes and Christian Aid.

Along with hundreds of charity cards, wrapping paper, gift tags and stocking fillers are for sale.

Sahran praised the dedication of the volunteers who run the shop during the season and the valuable support the charities provide to less fortunate people both in Haslemere and throughout the world.

The Cards for Good Causes shop is open Monday-Saturday (10am-4.30pm) and also during Haslemere’s Christmas Market on Sunday, December 4.
