AN Alton antiques shop has once again been captured on camera by the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip team.

The crew was in Alton on Sunday last week to film the show’s antiques expert, James Braxton, as he rummaged through the bijou treasure trove at The Tiny Shop, under the watchful eye of owner Rob Raynsford, pictured, , with wife Barbara and Mr Braxton.

Antiques Road Trip features experts scouring the UK for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction. It was the fifth time The Tiny Shop in Lenten Street had been featured and this time their visitor left with a wooden bench and a bronze statue of a dog.

“Fingers crossed he will make a profit for charity with them at auction,” said Mr Raynsford.

The programme is due to be aired early next year.

In the meantime, viewers are advised to keep their eyes peeled for UK singer/ songwriter Chesney Hawkes and antiques expert Charles Hanson, who visited the shop on June 27 as part the BBC’s Celebrity Antique Road Trip, which is likely to be broadcast towards the end of next month.
