TWO staff from Haslemere’s Toad Hall nursery have graduated after their apprenticeships and attended Chichester College proudly dressed in the gowns and hats for their graduation ceremony. Gabby Catt and Amy Larbey qualified in advanced child care, learning and development.

Nursery manager Louise Cope said: “They have been working full-time learning new skills and putting these into practice. They are extremely valuable members of staff and we are delighted to have watched them grow into excellent childcare practitioners.

“Parents speak highly of the relationships they have built with them and their children and the staff have welcomed them into the team.”

Staff can attend internal and external training to develop their education and skills, with Toad Hall working in partnership with Hawk to deliver the childcare course. “We pride ourselves and have a 100 per cent record of the staff completing the training,” said Louise.

Gabby said: “Being able to graduate has been a real honour. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Toad Hall team and the support I have has been amazing.

Amy added: “Throughout my apprenticeship, I really enjoyed working and learning at the same time. The nursery was so supportive. The graduation evening will be one I will never forget, I never thought I would be able to graduate. The whole experience has changed me and I cannot thank the nursery and Hawk training enough.”
