FOLLOWING a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, 63-year-old Scot Peter Tobin was convicted of murdering 18-year-old Dinah McNicol.

On Wednesday, the jury took just 15 minutes to find him guilty of killing Miss McNicol after a three-day trial.

The court heard Tobin killed the Essex teenager after giving her a lift as she hitchhiked back home from a music festival in Liphook in 1991.
