WAVERLEY Borough Council has 17 employees on its payroll earning more than £58,200 a year, according to figures placed on its website.

The council has responded to the Government's challenge to provide greater disclosure on spending by publishing details of its highest paid officers, six months ahead of the Government's timetable.
